30 weeks and 2 days ... 68 to go!

Had another OB appointment today -- my belly is measuring about 33 cm - which equals out to be about 2.5 - 3 weeks big. We had more discussions of the fact that we probably just "breed" big babies, and how we're going to have to keep an eye on that and make the best decision about how to proceed when the time comes. I'm all for going for a natural (medicated) childbirth, but I am not about to try to push him out if he's not going to fit!!

How far along?
30 weeks and 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: +32lbs
Maternity clothes? Yup - and still need the bella band w/ pants b/c they don't give me enough support, and if I don't wear it my tummy hurts by the end of the work day
Stretch marks? Still just on the thighs
Sleep: I've been so exhausted from work that even though I pee over 10 times a day - I've only been waking up once in the middle of the night!
Best moment this week: Sharing my story @ CKH's and connecting with more IF women
Movement: I am love love loving sitting and watching him make my tummy move - it's so awesome. He's getting stronger every day!!
Food cravings: Still the same greasy burger and fries ... and A&W for lunch today and it tasted amazing!
Gender: He's a big baby boy!
Labor Signs: Nada
Belly Button in or out? I've decided that only the top can be the "outtie" because of the stitches at the bottom from my laproscopy
What I miss: Flip Flops being comfortable all day long
What I am looking forward to: Hopefully getting another ultrasound, and of course my 12 week maternity leave :)
Weekly Wisdom: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast " Ephesians 2:8-9
Milestones: Passing the glucose test -- Nick seeing my belly move.
Realization of the week: I love being pregnant :)

Latest OB Appt

Had my OB/Glucose Test on Friday ... is it ever good for your doctor to say, "You did not gain 11 lbs!!"

Me = "Umm... sorry?"

She didn't lecture, just reminded that any extra is just harder to lose afterwards. Yeah yeah ... but ice cream tastes so good right now!!

Plus -- my belly is still measuring 2 weeks ahead -- soo doesn't some of that weight gain count towards those "extra" weeks? :)

Won't hear the glucose test results until Mon or Tues - but that drink sure was gross!

28 weeks -- so begins the 3T!

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Ugh --- can't you tell from the pictures?!?
Maternity clothes? I'm at an odd stage between Large and XLarge ... don't they make halfzies?
Stretch marks? Few on the thighs ... gross.
Sleep: Pretty good these days actually
Best moment this week: Entering the 3rd Tri -- so great to know that no matter what happens from here on out he has at least a 90% survival rate if he comes early!
Movement: Still all really low feeling - but some nights he just goes crazy!! I even looked up fetal seizures the other night because he was freaking out -- it said he could have just been stuck and trying to shake free!
Food cravings: French fries -- probably b/c I'm watching The Gilmore Girls and they are eating all the time on that show!
Gender: He's a big baby boy!
Labor Signs: Nope -- think I had my first Braxton Hicks contraction though ... it was weird.
Belly Button in or out? Top is outtie for sure -- bottom is flat.
What I miss: My skinny girl work clothes
What I am looking forward to: Honestly? My 12 week maternity leave :)
Weekly Wisdom: "... Let everything breathe praise the Lord. Praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6
Milestones: Third Trimester!!!!!
Realization of the week: He's going to be here very soon ... everyone says the last months fly by, and that's what I'm hoping for because I can't wait (again, mainly b/c of school starting and teaching something new ... I just want another long vacation from it!)

First Baby Shower!

My lovely besties from work decided to give me a little girls night baby shower, so I don't have to bore them with the family showers and because I'm switching school buildings for this upcoming school year!

Jenn made an awesome Frog cake -- and managed to find "Henry" confetti!!

Again - Jenn wowed us with her creativity of putting together the froggy gift!!

Thanks friends! :)

When I was putting away the gifts - I've already begun to feel like I'm running out of room - and I'm still going to be having 2 family showers, and a church shower!!

Nursery Pics for Kim :)

Nick did the paintings above the crib -- a Mommy Frog, a Henry Frog (the little sign says "Henry's Room), and a Daddy Frog. I love the way they turned out!!

24 weeks 2 days 1 good appointment

Well we had our monthly appointment today, and everything looks good. She thinks that Henry's head down now - but I still only feel his punches and kicks way low, so I don't know if I agree with her - or he's in a weird sideways position. My belly measured about 25 weeks now - so we're no longer much bigger than we should be.

One more month, and I'll get the lovely glucose test, and move on to appts every 2 weeks - that will get tricky with going back to work!
